Usage and Safety

Dosage

Adults

• Standard dose: 100 mg every 12 hours on day 1
• Then: 100 mg once daily or 50 mg every 12 hours
• Severe infections: 100 mg every 12 hours

Children (>8 years only)

• 1 mg/lb every 12 hours on day 1
• Then adjusted to 1 mg/lb once daily or divided doses
• Severe infections: higher dosing as prescribed by doctor

Important Notes

• Must be taken exactly as prescribed
• Take with a full glass of water
• Avoid lying down immediately after taking
• Sun exposure should be limited due to photosensitivity risk
