How it works

Acyclovir is an antiviral medicine that works by stopping the replication of herpes viruses.

After entering infected cells, it is converted into its active form. This active form blocks viral DNA synthesis, preventing the virus from multiplying further. This helps reduce symptoms, speed up healing, and control the spread of infection.

Usage and Safety

Dosage

• Apply a thin layer 5 times daily (every 4 hours)
• Duration: 5 days
• If not fully healed, continue for up to 10 days
